Please note that the Community Heroes: Veteran Outreach Program scheduled for October has been cancelled.

Community Bridge and the Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department are working hard behind the scenes to improve the event experience.

We will keep you posted and will announce the new date once we relaunch — better and stronger. Thank you for your understanding and continued support for our veterans.

Community Heroes: Veteran Outreach Program

Community Bridge of SWFL is teaming up with incredible partners — Moffitt Cancer Center, Hearts and Homes for Veterans, and Senior Helpers — to support those who served.

What veterans and families can expect:

Tobacco control & cessation resources from Moffitt Cancer Center, plus how tobacco use impacts activities of daily living

VA-covered home care guidance from Community Bridge of SWFL to help veterans access long-term home care benefits they’ve earned

Quality of life & safety at home with Senior Helpers, focused on aging in place with dignity

Expanded resources from Hearts and Homes for Veterans to enhance daily living and overall wellness

This is more than an info session — it’s a fun, learning experience with prizes, great conversations, and actionable resources to share with the veteran community.
